A memorial service in celebration of the life of Allan G. Rydholm who died December 8, 2015 will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, North Easton, MA, on February 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Sharon L Hughes will officiate.
Allan Rydholm was born May 4, 1927 in Brockton, MA, the son of Gustaf G. Rydholm and Signe W. (Abrahamson) Rydholm. He was a veteran of the United States Naval Reserves at the end of World War II. Following his discharge from the Naval Reserves, he worked for Batson Lumber Company in Brockton, MA. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church serving on the church council. He was also a Sunday school teacher and later as served as Sunday School superintendent. In 1976 the family moved to Madison, CT where he was employed as a project manager and senior draftsman of the Legere Group, Ltd. in Avon, CT. until his retirement in 1993. He was also an active member of the Architectural Woodwork Institute, serving as a past president and, for many years, as secretary of the New England Chapter. While living in Madison he was an active member of Tabor Lutheran Church in Branford, CT. He served on the church council, was a communion visitor and helped lead the “Prime Timers” senior group.
He is survived by one son, Karl (Laura), a daughter, Lynne Scott (Robert), a sister Jane C. Olson, four grandchildren, Siri and Anders Rydholm, Erik and Hailey Scott and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith W. (Lindholm), a son, David, and a sister, Greta Habelt.
A Service of Commital and Christian Burial will be held at the South Easton Cemetery following the memorial service at the church.
