Donald A Freeman of Easton Passed away Peacefully at home on Thursday July 27th 2017. Born on June 7th 1922, Donald was a life time resident of Easton.

Donald was part of the American Legion  (Post 7) for many years.  He served in the Army and was a WWII veteran. Donald was one of the survivors of the USS Rhona ship that was Sunk in 1942. He was also part of the 26th Air force group and the Easton VFW post 2547.  Donald was a recipient of a purple heart.

Donald is Survived by his loving wife Rose Freeman.  2 step daughters karen Sylvester of Pembroke and Diane Brown of Taunton.  Also survived by many nieces ,nephews, grand children and Many more great Grand Children. He is pre deceased by his step daughter, the late Marilyn Trunstein and 2 sisters , the late Virginia Schultz and the late Barbara Schadwald.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday July 29th from 4-7PM in the Southeast Funeral Home “Copeland MacKinnon”, 93 Center St. North Easton MA.A military burial will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on August 8th at 1pm.. Family and friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the Jimmy Fund, P.O box 849168, Boston MA 02284.
