Eleanor K (Kennedy) Bridge

Eleanor K. (Kennedy) Bridge of EASTON passed away at Life Care Center in Plymouth on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of the late Ross J. Bridge. Daughter of the late Frances “Red” & Helen (McGee) Kennedy. Loving mother of Robert F. Bridge and his wife Janet of Plymouth and Joanne Matarazzo and her husband Stephen of Norwell. Grandmother of Katie Matarazzo, Michael Matarazzo, Meg Matarazzo, and Mark Bridge.

Eleanor would volunteer weekly at the Parkview Elementary School and read to children. She also volunteered on voting days in Easton at various precincts. She loved to bowl, golf, going out to lunch with friends and vacationing in Cape Cod. Her family was very important to her. Her grandchildren were the focus of her life, especially during the summer at the beach house in Harwichport. She was also a member of the Sharon Country Club and belonged to a woman’s bowling league.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 15, from 4-7 pm in the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home 38 Center St., Easton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Main St., North Easton, with burial to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
