June 18, 1955 ~ May 30, 2015 (age 59) 59 Years OldThomas Mark Riley, 59 of Hancock, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015.
He was born in Easton, MA on June 18, 1955, the son of John and Irene Riley. He graduated from Oliver Ames High School and after graduation, worked at and was part owner of the family’s businesses, United Auto and their restaurant in Easton, The 1882 House. This is where he would meet the love of his life and future wife, Lorraine Murphy. Tommy and Lorraine eventually moved to Hancock, ME where they opened their automobile dealership, Car Market. He was a successful and respected automobile dealer for many years. Tommy was also a real estate developer, developing property along the Maine Coast.
He loved the beach and enjoyed time with Lorraine at their winter residence in Hollywood Beach, Fl. He also enjoyed camping, boating, and cooking. He was a magnificent cook.
Tommy was a gentle soul, generous and considerate to friends and strangers alike. He always saw the best in all people and would be the first to help a friend in need. He appreciated life and never took a day for granted.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife Lorraine, his brother, Jack Riley, Jr and wife Fran of Belfast, ME, Aunts Dorothy Tufts of Wolfeboro, NH and Barbara Riley of Brockton, MA, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at Furnace Village Cemetery in Easton this Saturday, June 6th at 1:00 PM.
