My Freedom

My freedom in my blood
My freedom in my sweat
My freedom thwarted
My freedom polluted
My freedom poisoned
My freedom that I survive
My freedom that my hatred be tamed
My freedom that justice prevail
My freedom earned-lost-to recuperate
My freedom without it I am a beast
My freedom I flinch not a bit
My freedom which recognizes no color
My freedom which is borderless
My freedom, leave my lands alone
My freedom let my people breathe
My freedom Africa all awake
My freedom the Third World triumphant
My freedom I am speaking to the whole World
My freedom, all my sympathy offered
My freedom all my potential exploding
My freedom all my sanity foaming
My freedom, my reason, my blood, my sweat, my soul,
My freedom, not to be negotiated.
