Charlotte H Gray

South Dartmouth-Charlotte (Henderson) Gray, 93, died July 28, 2017. 

Born in Charlemont, Massachusetts, wife of the late George Gray, and survived by sons Michael, Scott and his wife Kathy, granddaughters Nina and Meredith, and great-granddaughter Sage. 

A longtime resident of Westport, Charlotte was an Army Veteran, licensed pilot, an avid gardener with the Buzzards Bay Garden Club, a talented artist, musician, New Bedford Whaling Museum supporter and driving force in the creation of New Bedford’s Whale Foundation. Charlotte was a radio broadcasting pioneer, working alongside her husband George, in the development of WBSM’s “Open Line” talk and news radio format.  She will be dearly missed.
