Clifford "Skip" Stanley Davis

Clifford Stanley Davis, Jr (Skip), age 79 of N. Easton, MA passed away on November 17th, 2019 in Melbourne, FL following a lengthy illness. He was born in Brockton, MA to Clifford Davis, Sr and Grace (Orne) Davis,

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice (Engley) Davis of Easton MA and W. Melbourne, FL.; his two sons; Clifford S. Davis III and wife, Lisa of Mansfield, and Christopher Davis and wife Kimberly of Bridgewater and was predeceased by his son, Eric Davis. He is missed by his grandchildren, Seana, Joseph, Kevin, Michael and his wife Molly and Great Grand-daughter Savannah, Rita and her husband Justin, Nicholas and Timothy. He also leaves his brother Bob Davis and wife Judy and niece Sharon and her husband Scott Finlayson and niece Heather Davis, all of Easton, MA. He will be sadly missed by his brothers in law Paul Engley of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Peter Engley and wife Katie of Louisville, Kentucky and various nieces and nephews as well as his many friends and associates

Skip graduated from Brockton High School in 1958 and from Wentworth University in 1961. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from North Eastern University. He worked for 31 years as a customer engineer and a sales rep for IBM Corporation and for many years as a realtor for Premier Properties in Easton.

Skip was very active in his church and community, serving as chairman of the Deacons at First Parrish Church in Brockton, and in a leadership role for The Boy Scouts in Brockton. He was a member of the Brockton Real Estate Owners Association and a lifelong member of Paul Revere Lodge in Brockton. After moving to Easton in 1978, he was a member of the Easton Finance Committee, served as president of the Lions Club and was chairman of the Richardson Olmsted School Building Committee.

Skip loved summering on the Gurnet in Plymouth, MA where he and his wife owned a home for many years. Skip and Janice loved to dance and listen to music. They loved nothing more than having family get-togethers and spending time with family.

Memorial visitation will be held in the Christ Congregational Church, 1350 Pleasant Street, Brockton, MA on November 30th from 11 AM to 12 Noon with memorial service to follow at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Skips name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 or to a charity of your choice.
