Helen “Roberta” Pollack (Zakon) of Foxboro, MA, formerly of Wayland, Newton and Brookline, MA entered into rest on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the age of 79. Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Dexter and Frances Zakon, of Newton, MA. A graduate of Newton High School, she spent 15 years working as a Reproduction Clerk for GZA Engineering in Newton, MA. She is survived by her loving children; her son Jeffrey and his wife Carol of Foxboro, MA; her daughter Lisa Pollack of Stoughton, MA; and also, her beloved dog Frankie.
She loved walking her dogs in the park and travelling to Cape Cod and the Caribbean Islands. Her most creative achievements were the needlepoint and stain glassed designs she proudly displayed in her families homes. She cherished time spent with her family and her dogs and enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, jazz music and watching the annual Westminster Dog Show on television. She will fondly be remembered for her generosity, love of dogs, her passion for Italian food and rich desserts, concerts, the theatre and swimming at the beach.
Graveside services at Crawford Street Cemetery, 776 Baker Street West Roxbury, MA on Thursday, December 26th at 11:00AM. Following interment, memorial observance will be at her late residence until 5:00PM and from 6:30-8:30PM.
