Maxine Slabine

Maxine Bernice Slabine, age 72, of Stoughton, MA passed away on November 27. She was born in Dorchester, MA to Harry and Julia Marcus. She spent 12 years teaching students with disabilities at Stoughton High School where she was beloved by faculty and students alike.

She is survived by her loving son Marcus and his wife Elizabeth; her sister Sarah Jane Berman, niece Angel Berman and grand-niece Skye Willow; her niece Tammy Garner, husband James and their sons Jimmy Jr. and Corey; niece Cheri and husband David Greg; and ex-husband Fred Slabine and wife Nancy.

A brief ceremony will be held at 11:00 am on December 7 at Town Landing Beach, Wampatuck St., Pembroke, MA. At 12:00 pm, a Memorial Service and luncheon will be held at American Legion Hall, 33 Legion Parkway, Whitman, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be sent to MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center in Boston.
