Russell Vernon Willis

Russell V. Willis, age 84, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Sachem Center in East Bridgewater.  He was born on May 5, 1935 in Brockton, MA to Mary and Vernon Willis.  

He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Kathleen E. Willis; son: Mark Willis; daughter: Suzanne Sherburne and husband David; three loving grandchildren; Steven Willis; David Sherburne, Jr. and wife Kaitlyn; Amanda Sherburne and partner Jonathan Paulicelli; and six great grandchildren that he simply loved to pieces.

Russell enjoyed capturing memories of his children on film and recording the sounds of wildlife. An avid outdoorsman, he loved rabbit and deer hunting, spending countless hours tending to his garden, listening to music and most of all, dancing.  As a member of the Bridgewater Beagle Club, he proudly raised dogs called Diamond Eye Beagles including a field champion named Paleface. 

Graveside Services will be at the Seeley Cemetery, 17 Mill Street, North Easton on Saturday, DECEMBER 14th at 11:30AM.  Following the ceremony the family would like you to join them at the Lafayette club for a luncheon and to continue Russell's Celebration of Life,18 Lakeview Ave.,Taunton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
