David Hamilton passed away after a brief illness on Monday October 4th at the age of 64. He is survived by wife Cindy (Copeland) Hamilton of East Bridgewater and his son Shaun Hamilton and girlfriend Mikayla of Easton. He is also survived by his mother Geneva (Cannizzaro) Hamilton of Bridgewater, his brother Thomas Hamilton and wife Linda of East Bridgewater. He was pre-deceased by his sister Donna Lanzikos of North Carolina. David also leaves behind many other family members and friends. He will be greeted by his father Clyde in heaven as he crosses St. Peters gates.
David was born July 29th, 1957 to Geneva and Clyde Hamilton as the youngest of three children. He was a high school graduate from Southeastern High School in Easton. While working for Foxmoor Casuals in West Bridgewater, he met his future wife, and 2 short years later they were married. Then in 1990 he welcomed the birth of his son. David spent many years working for Pilkington glass company, delivering to many places and gaining new friends wherever he went. In his more recent years, he worked for Stop & Shop Pea Pod in Whitman, working in the produce department. No matter where David worked, he was always considered a dependable and reliable hard worker.
David was devoted entirely to his family. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Red Sox and Bruins, and playing card games with friends and family. To relax, David liked to watch movies (which he had hundreds of) and take drives with his wife enjoying the scenery on the Cape or at Plymouth waterfront where they often went to dinner. David also enjoyed his weekends away at Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun Casino. No matter what he was doing, he was always smiling and in good spirits.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday October 15th at Southeast Funeral Home located at 93 Center Street, North Easton MA 02356. Visiting hours are from 5-6:30 PM, with a memorial service to follow from 6:30-7 PM.
