Guy Maroon

Guy E. Maroon, age 71 of Easton passed away on September 8, 2021 at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury.  Guy was born in Brockton on November 20, 1949 to the late Edward and Lucille (Deslauriers) Maroon.  He proudly served our Military in the Air Force, stationed in Thailand and Germany.

Guy was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He had a contagious belly laugh, which was often brought out by his beloved great nephew Greyson.  He loved sky diving, scuba diving, sailing and riding motorcycles.  Prior to residing at the VA he volunteered for Disabled Veterans and the Wounded Warrior Project.  Guy participated in the special Olympics for bowling and enjoyed target shooting and rock tumbling while at the VA. 

Guy is survived by his son Thomas Maroon and his mother Jane.  He leaves behind his siblings: Gayle Maroon Johnson, (the late) Robert Johnson, Lee Maroon, his wife Soledad, Lawrence Maroon, Claire Abate, her husband James, Catherine Morton and her husband Glen as well as numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.  Guy will be sorely missed by his significant other, Sylvia Ramsdell.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St., South Easton, MA.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 162 Cary St., Brockton, MA.
