Janice Marie (Bowser) Quist

Janice Marie Quist (Bowser) of Easton passed away suddenly on October 2, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the loving wife of Harold Quist.  Janice was born in Brockton on May 16, 1948 to the late James and Ruth (Graves) Bowser.

Janice was an extremely giving woman.  She was always doing things for others.  She loved children and made each and every one of them feel special.  Janice could do everything from carpentry to crafting.  She was an exceptional seamstress and ran her own business out of her home.  She was very honored to be chosen to apply the letters and numbers to the Bruins Team Jerseys.

Janice donated a lot of time to the VFW organization.  She enjoyed bartending and cooking for them; her macaroni salad   was dubbed as “award winning” by the members. Janice had a passion for all animals and gardening. 

Aside from her husband Harold, Janice leaves behind her children; Wayne Shaffer and his wife, Kim, Wendi Frias and her husband, Eddie, Lori Evans (Late Husband, Paul) and Lynda Stoutt and her husband Mike.  She was predeceased by her daughter, the late Stefanie Quist.  Janice had nine grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, whom she cherished.  She is also survived by her brothers, Lloyd and John Bowser and sisters, Lorraine Bass and Nancy Flynn.

A visitation will be held for Janice on Thursday, October 7th from 3:00PM-6:00PM at the Southeast Funeral Home, 93 Center St., Easton, MA.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.  Janice's family welcomes donations to a charity of your choice in Janice's name as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
