Mr. Joseph "Jerry" Shannon Jr, Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11th, 2021 at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband to the late Joan (MacGilvray) Shannon. Joseph was born on April 26, 1932 to the late Jeannette (Penque) and Joseph J. Shannon Sr. He attended Medford schools and was a graduate of the Boston Trade School. Joseph was an electrician and installed many of the larger signs you see in Boston today. Prior to his retirement, he was a custodian for the Easton Public School Dept. for many years. During his retirement, he kept himself busy by driving a school bus. Jerry enjoyed playing pool, Mahjong and watching sports. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.
He was the beloved father of Sandra Devlin, of North Reading, Marilyn Wright and late husband Arthur, of North Easton and Richard Shannon and his wife Sandia of Middleboro. He was pre-deceased his Son Joseph Shannon and his wife Brenda. He was also pre-deceased by his brother Phillip Shannon. Jerry was a proud grandfather of 10, great grandfather of 12 and great-great grandfather of 1.
