Phyllis Eileen (Upton) Robinson

Phyllis Eileen (Upton) Robinson passed away on January 12, 2023 at the age of 96.  Phyllis was born on September 26, 1926 in Lincoln, UK to the late Walter and Lois Upton.  She was the loving wife of the late Earl F. Robinson.  Phyllis leaves behind her two daughters; Bernice Robinson Chavis and Janet Robinson Maling; Five grandchildren; Melissa Maling Swirbliss of Derry, NH, Lisa  Breer-Almeida of Norton, MA, Rebecca Tosh of Cleremont, FL and Jen McNamara of Waltham, MA.  She was predeceased by granddaughter; Beth Maling Kelley.  Phyllis had seven great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. She was predeceased by ten siblings and is survived by her brother; Derek Upton 84 of Nottingham, UK as well as many nieces and nephews in the US and the UK.

Phyllis came to the US as a war bride after marrying Earl Robinson and began their life in West Bridgewater, MA. She was active in the Cochesett United Methodist Church for many years. They moved to Easton, MA to raise their 2 girls and became a resident of Easton for her entire life.  She enjoyed knitting and sewing as hobbies.  She loved having her family around her.

Phyllis worked at Metals and Control in Attleboro, Stonehill College in the cafeteria and then as secretary to Brother Herman Zaccerelli for many years.  She retired from Walker Clay where she worked part time with a group of wonderful ladies.

A Funeral Service will take place at Cochesett United Methodist Church, 517 W Center St., West Bridgewater, MA on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00AM.  A collation will follow.

A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers donations to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Judes Hospital would be appreciated.
